Color Confidence (age 9 - teen) • June
Thursdays • 4 Weeks • June 5th - 26th ($25 per class)

Class Dates: June 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th
Class A: 9:30am - 10:30am (5 spots available)

**Note about ages: I am flexible on ages as long as your child understands that this is a fine art class and we will be sitting quietly and drawing mostly still life objects.
In this watercolor class, we’ll spend each day with one color from the rainbow, learning how to mix all shades related to that color from brights to those tricky neutrals and soft hues. We’ll do some color matching exercises and then students will put what they’ve learned to use by painting objects from life using the color of the day. By the end of the course, we’ll have learned how to mix all the colors!
This is a fine art class and we’ll be working with hues that I use in my own oil painting practice. Your child will learn how it’s possibly to create nearly every color they need all from a basic set of colors. Students will be learning color mixing techniques that professional artists use. By learning how to confidently mix the colors they’re seeing without all the guesswork, your child will produce more clean colors and accurate values making for stronger and more beautiful paintings.
All supplies are provided.
Classes will take place at my home in Horseheads New York and I will send you the full address after you’ve registered.
If your child misses a class, during the following class, I will give them any handouts that were given and catch them up on the concepts they missed. Refunds are not given for missed classes.
