Growing up, my family would spend our vacations at Sanibel Island and enjoy the sea life there. We went on shell hunts for days and time our vacations after hurricanes knowing the storm would bring in more shells. All the shells in this collection are from this time in my life.
COASTAL: where treasures emerge from the hardship of waves and sand
The coastal regions spill out its produce. Each treasure bears a testimony of hardship, yet after being tossed about at sea and ground by the sand, beauty defiantly emerges. So it is with our own lives. Pain smooths out our character making room for empathy and grace toward others. There is no peaceful place in life that will yield the same work that difficulty can. So, blessed is the place of waves and sand for because of them can we enjoy the treasures.
